• In 1994, AIUB was founded as AMA International University Bangladesh by Dr. Anwarul Abedin, as a joint venture with AMA Computer University of the Philippines
• Began operations at the Mohakhali Campus in 1994

AIUB received government approval in 1995

AIUB held its first convocation in 1999

AIUB was renamed to American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) in 2001

AIUB was awarded Asia’s Best Business School Leadership Award by CMO Asia in 2010

• Members of various AIUB Student Clubs under the “Green Link Dhaka” project organized a cleaning campaign in the campus and surrounding areas on April 6-7, 2011.

In response to COVID-19, the AIUB Social Welfare Club – ‘Shomoy’ launched the “Hygiene Awareness Campaign 2020” on March 8, with support from various AIUB clubs. The campaign ran until March 20, 2020, when AIUB transitioned to online classes.
