The Department of Architecture AIUB organized “AIUB ARCHITECTURE WEEK 2016″ during 4 – 7 January. Celebration on Completion of 10 years”. The four-day eventful program included a student design competition, lectures and workshops by local and international experts, student work exhibitions, publications, a cultural program, and a closing ceremony. In this millstone celebration program, Ar. Francis D.K. Ching (Author, Professor Emeritus, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, USA) was present as a distinguished speaker. In addition, honorable ministers from the government of Bangladesh, renowned vice chancellors from different universities, and architects were present as well.
In 2017, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) launches Outcome Based Education (OBE) model in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Computer Engineering (COE) programs in the Faculty of Engineering.
The accreditation of B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) program of AIUB has been renewed till 30th June 2025 by the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE), Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB). This accreditation is based on the Outcome Based Education (OBE) as per BAETE Manual, Version V2.1. This accreditation not only reassures that our engineering program meets global excellence criteria but also displays the dedication of the Department of EEE as well as AIUB to continuous improvement and strive for excellence. 
Department of Architecture, AIUB applied for Accreditation from Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) and following a rigorous scrutiny and evaluation process undertaken by IAB, the accreditation status was finally awarded to the B. Arch program on Sunday, January 12, 2014. Afterwards, the award was renewed successfully on December 28, 2022.
The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Engineering (CoE) maintained BAETE, IEB accreditation under V0 of BATETE manual and currently on the process of renewal. 13 students from the Department of IPE have completed their graduation in Fall 2023-2024 semester and currently the IPE program is in the process for IEB accreditation application.
Thirteen students from the first batch of the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, AIUB completed their graduation in Fall 2023-2024 semester. They are going to attend the upcoming 22nd Convocation Ceremony.
The Faculty of Engineering of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) is organizing numerous flagship level International Conferences and Symposiums. The aim of all the conferences/symposiums is to encourage and interact with young researchers, students, teachers with the academic and industrial leaders to recognize the forthcoming penstock.
The ICREST has been organized successfully in January 2019, January 2021 and January 2023. These flagship series conferences were composed of several research papers presentation, keynote and invited talks and industry-academia collaboration etc. The conferences offered the participants a dynamic approach, looking for innovative research and ideas on the emerging developments in Computer, Electrical and Electronics, Quantum Computing, Big-Data, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) and Robotic Technologies etc.
In 1st ICREST 2019, nearly 20 academic sessions with 134 papers were presented, authored by nearly 500 researchers coming from 13 different countries (Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Qatar, South Korea, Thailand, UK, USA, and Vietnam) including Bangladesh. These panel sessions were designed to elicit maximum debate and conversations between the audience and the experts on the panel. In addition, three-day long workshops, project exhibition, poster competition were organized during this vibrant conference.

Due to Covid 19 pandemic, the 2nd ICREST 2021 was organized successfully in an online platform. A total of 154 papers have been accepted and presented during the 3-day long conference where 1054 Authors from 15 countries across the globe contributed. The submitted papers were reviewed by 156 renowned researchers and academicians from home and abroad. The conference had its vibrancy elevated by the presentation on contemporary research topics from 11 Keynote Speakers along with 19 Invited Speakers across the globe. Moreover, the Digital Poster Competition was organized for young researchers from universities, and for college students to motivate them in Engineering.

The 3rd ICREST 2023 featured 7 keynote speakers, 12 invited speakers and several other distinguished academic scholars and industry experts. Nearly 16 technical sessions with 69 papers were presented and authored by researchers from 13 different countries on a diverse array of topics such as, Power, Renewable Energy, Microelectronics, Robotics, AI, Big Data and Networking, Nanotechnology, Telemedicine etc.

The Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with Center for Nanotechnology Research (CNR) of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) successfully organized day long International Symposium on Nanotechnology (ISN) in 2020 and 2022, respectively.
International and local technical speakers shared their research findings with professionals and students along with representatives from industries who are directly involved with nanotechnology. The symposium provided a great platform for exchanging theoretical and practical experiences among researchers from academia and industries. The theme of ISN 2022 was “NanoTech for SDGs.”
American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), Dhaka, Bangladesh, publishes the AIUB Journal of Science and Engineering (AJSE) thrice a year. The Journal publishes original, empirical and innovative works in basic, functional, and support areas of science, technology, and a wide range of engineering disciplines. The AJSE regularly contributes to the research areas with its high-level research publications, which helps the society and country with innovation and technology.
The AJSE is indexed in the world-renowned “SCOPUS” database, google scholar, OCLC Worldcat, crossref, etc., for high visibility of the research papers. Few of the journals in the Engineering discipline from Bangladesh are listed in the “SCOPUS” database; AJSE is one of them. It is the only Journal among private universities of Bangladesh indexed by “SCOPUS” and it is Q4 (SCImago journal raking).
Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronic engineering (EEE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh, the M.Sc. degree from Islamabad University, Islamabad, Pakistan, and the Ph.D. degree from the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece. He has more than 43 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan received his B. Sc. Eng. Degree from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET former BITR), Bangladesh, and Masters of Engg. and Dr. of Engg. Degrees from Kitami Institute of Technology, Japan. He has more than 19 years of years of teaching, research, and administrative experience.
Prof. M. A. Quaiyum received his B,Sc.Engg.(Mech.) from Asanullah Engineering College (Now BUET). He did his D.I.C. (Nuclear Power) from Imperial College of Science & Technology, London in. He did his M.Sc. (Reactor Physics & Technology)

Prof. Dr. Nowshad Amin received his B.Sc. degree from Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT), Japan and M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. He served as a professor for many years at various universities of Malaysia. He has received more than 13000 citations in his research papers so far.

Dr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan received B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Master of Engineering in Telecommunications degree from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). He completed PhD from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia in the field of e-Health. He has more than 14 years of years of teaching and research experience.
Mr. Nafiz Ahmed Chisty completed his Master’s in System on Chip (SOC) design from Lund University (LTH), Sweden, and Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), Dhaka. His research interests include Energy Efficient Digital ASIC Implementation, Low Complexity Algorithm Implementation in HDL, FPGA Application in Wireless Communication; Microcontroller based system and Antenna Design.

Dr. Mohammad Nasir Uddin received a B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology and an M.Sc. Engineering in Computer Networks from Middlesex University and a Ph.D. degree from Kyushu University, Japan. He is a senior member of the IEEE, LIFE FELLOW of the IEB and life member of Bangladesh Electronic Society.

Dr. Md. Ehasanul Haque earned both Bachelor of Science and Masters from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh with high distinction. He received PhD degree from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) with “Monbukagashu” (MEXT) scholarship. His research interests include Photonics, Nanotechnology and Nanofabrication, Electrochemistry, Thin Film, Alloy Formation etc.

Zaheed Sabur was the first Bangladeshi principal engineer at one of the world’s leading technology companies, Google. Currently he is working as a Distinguished Engineer, Senior Director at Google.
